General Returns Policy

At AY Tool & Equipment Hire Ltd, we aim to be fair and transparent. Our Returns Policy is designed to clarify your obligations when returning hired tools and equipment.

Return Conditions

• All items must be returned by the agreed date and time as per your Hire Agreement.
• Equipment must be returned clean, undamaged, and in the same condition it was provided.
• All accessories, manuals, or included components must be returned.

Late Returns

Late returns will incur a daily fee of £30 per item unless agreed otherwise in writing. Persistent non-return may be treated as theft and subject to legal recovery and police involvement.

Early Returns

There are no refunds for early returns. Hire fees are calculated based on the agreed period at the time of booking.

Faulty Equipment

If equipment fails due to no fault of the hirer, contact us immediately. We’ll arrange a replacement or issue a refund for the unused hire period.

Damage or Misuse

• Returns with damage will be assessed, and the cost of repair or replacement will be invoiced.
• Misuse of equipment invalidates any refund rights and may result in charges or denied future hires.

Collection Returns

If the equipment was collected by us, you must ensure it’s ready for pickup in the agreed location and condition. Missed collection attempts may incur a redelivery fee.

Cancelled Bookings

Bookings cancelled with more than 48 hours’ notice will be refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before start time may be charged up to 50% of the hire fee.
